527 Fried Carrot Cake : Black or White?

This stall has been in this food centre for more than 10 years serving fried carrot cake in white or black version for $2.50, $3.00 and $4.00. During my last visit, i asked, 'Is there a change of owner? i remember it used to be fried by a much younger guy.' The lady pointed at the man and said, 'He has always been the one but is much younger than.' The man said, 'It was me but i am much older now, it has been more than 10 years already.' Time flies, indeed.

I have tried their black version before so decided to go with the white one this time, i was asked whether to go with $2.50 or $3.00 portion by that aunty and decided to just go with $3.00 though they have a bigger portion at $4.00. I waited in front of the stall for about 5 minutes before receiving it. The portion was quite substantial for $3.00.

It was fried with a good amount of beaten egg and a handful of preserved radish. I did not actually like what i had tasted, it did not taste as good as compared to their black fried carrot cake. I have also eaten a better white carrot cake before so this one did not manage to impress me. It would be nicer if it is crisper and with more preserved radish added for more flavor.
